Guns and other personal property

I have always appreciated feedback from folks who have purchased my binder, When The Time Comes. Recently, a person who is taking their time and diligently going through each section of the binder, came across something that I had not addressed.

She shared that as she was completing a particular section in the binder it dawned on her that there was no place to list the serial numbers for guns her husband had collected over the years. This spurred additional conversation regarding permits to carry, combinations to lock boxes, where guns are stored (as well as ammunition), history of the gun (it may have been passed down from relatives or have other significant meaning), and who should take possession of the firearms once the person has died.

Not being a gun owner, this information did not even register with me. The same can be said for the Medical Assets in the Medical History section of the binder, until one of my much younger proofreaders brought it to my attention. I would suggest information regarding firearms be written on an additional sheet of paper and stored in the plastic sleeve at the end of the Other Assets or Personal Property sections.

I welcome your feedback. If you come across something that I have not included in the binder, or if you have any other general questions, please visit my website and send me a message. www.whenthetimecomes.shop

I look forward to hearing from you
